Interview with Kirsten Ricketts

Kirsten Ricketts is an activist who runs an organization that helps individuals who have been recently released from prison. Kirsten herself is formerly incarcerated and understands the reentry process firsthand. Her husband is also currently incarcerated and tested positive for coronavirus shortly after this interview. Kirsten explained how the unit was on five-minute phone calls a day and how "They just retested two days ago for COVID, and he [her husband] said everybody is sick. He said, 'They're going to be shocked when they get the numbers back this time.' Now, he's suffering shortness of breath, join pain, all the signs of COVID. He's definitely been affected by this, and it's 210 degrees in there right now."
