Lewis Conway Jr is a Criminal Justice Organizer for Grassroots Leadership and Texas Advocates for Justice. In the interviews, he talks about his experiences with the criminal justice system. In the first part of the interview, Conway discusses his early life and the events that led up to his incarceration. He then talks about his experience in jail and how that changed him. In the second part of the interview, Conway discusses his sentencing process. He then further elaborates on his time in prison and the emotional and physical impacts it has had on him. Conway also talks about his experience being released from prison and the challenges that arose from being released. Finally, he closes out the interview with talking about his feelings of the imposter syndrome and what Justice means to him. Lewis was interviewed in his home in Austin, Texas, on May 11, 2018, by Darwin Hamilton.
